• FCM’s Robert Stewart MICWCI receives a ‘Building on Quality Award’ for his involvement with three prestigious buildings in Mayfair.

The Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI) held its 16th ‘Building on Quality Awards’ gala dinner and awards presentation at the Castleknock Hotel in Dublin, on Saturday 14th May 2022.

Robert Stewart of FCM received a ‘Highly Commended’ award for his involvement with the No 79, 80 and 81 of the Prestige Grosvenor Estates in Mayfair, London.

With 15 shortlisted nominees from the UK and Ireland, a team of senior members of the ICWCI visited the project.

Chair of the Judging Panel, Meredith Whilden FICWCI said:

“The quality this season has been exceptional, and I think higher than ever before.

Robert is a Clerk of Works who formed a very good working relationship with all parties involved. The judges were very impressed with the way this candidate took the project to heart. He had to quickly build a strong relationship with the client, architect, contractor and specialist sub-contractors. He developed a strong feeling for the building and was determined to get it right. The exceptional quality of brickwork and lead work is a joy to behold and is a credit to all involved.”

Roberts Award was presented by the newly elected President on the ICWCI, Mr Mark Read MICWCI.
